How CutKarma collects, uses and protects your account details, your footage and what you make with it.

What this policy says, in plain words
- We collect what you give us: your account details, the footage and links you add, and what you make with them.
- We use it to run CutKarma: to cut, grade, dub, caption and render your videos, to bill you, and to answer you.
- AI systems process your footage to make your edit, including providers that work on our behalf.
- Payments go through Razorpay, so your full card details never reach us.
- You can delete a job at any time and ask us to delete your account.
Who we are
CutKarma is operated by Reckonsys Tech Labs Private Limited, Sector 6, HSR Layout, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560102, India (“CutKarma”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what we do with personal information when you use cutkarma.com and the CutKarma app. If anything here is unclear, write to us at hello@cutkarma.com.
What we collect
We collect information you give us directly, information created when you use CutKarma, and a small amount from the services you connect.

Your footage may show or include the voices of other people. Only add footage you have the right to use. Our Terms explain this in more detail.
How we use it
- To provide the features you ask for: analysing your footage, picking moments that match your direction, and cutting, grading, dubbing, captioning and rendering it.
- To run your account and your subscription.
- To answer support requests and act on your feedback.
- To keep CutKarma secure, prevent abuse and enforce our Terms.
- To understand how CutKarma is used, so we can fix problems and improve the editor.
- To send you messages about your account, your jobs and your billing.
How AI processes your footage
To create your edits, CutKarma uses AI systems to analyse your footage, including its visuals, speech and audio. This may involve transcribing speech, identifying moments that match your instructions, explaining why those moments were selected, translating content, generating dubbed voices and captions, and suggesting colour grades.
Speech transcription and dubbed voice generation are handled on our own servers. Other AI-powered processing is performed using trusted third-party service providers acting on our behalf.
- AI processing: AI models analyse your transcripts, editing instructions and video frames to identify relevant moments, explain selections, translate content, apply requested changes and suggest colour grades. An external transcription service may be used as a fallback if our internal transcription system is unavailable or unsuccessful.
- File storage and safety: Our infrastructure providers securely host and store your files and perform automated safety checks on video frames where required.
Our service providers are permitted to process your content only as necessary to provide services to CutKarma.
Your content remains yours. We do not use your footage, audio or edits to train AI models. Our service providers are also prohibited from using your content to train their AI models.
Cookies and browser storage
CutKarma uses your browser’s storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences such as light or dark theme, and keep track of the job you’re working on. Google sign-in and Razorpay checkout may set their own cookies when you use them.
Our website, cutkarma.com, uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies to measure visits: the pages you view, your device type and your approximate location.
We don’t use any other analytics or advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
Projects and footage
After the AI makes your cut, you have 3 days to review and edit it. After that the project expires and can’t be edited or rendered. The footage you add, and the transcript we make from it, are deleted 7 days after you add it.
Renders and jobs you delete
Your renders stay in your account until you delete the job. You can delete a job from your dashboard at any time, and its renders and the files you uploaded for it are deleted with it.
Your account
We keep your account details while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal, tax or accounting reasons.
Your choices and rights
You can change your name and password from your profile at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to:
- get a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- correct information that’s wrong
- have your information deleted
- withdraw consent you’ve given us
- object to or limit some uses of your information
- complain to your local data protection authority
To make a request, email hello@cutkarma.com from the address on your account so we can confirm it’s you.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections. No online service can promise perfect security, so use a password of at least 8 characters that you don’t use anywhere else.
Children
CutKarma isn’t meant for anyone under 12. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Where your data is processed
Our servers run on Google Cloud in the United States, and OpenAI and Anthropic also process data there. If you use CutKarma from India or anywhere else outside the United States, your information is transferred there.
We send it over encrypted connections, and we use only providers whose terms require them to keep it secure and confidential.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we’ll update the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
